Our Aftercare Program is typically reserved for individuals who have completed residential treatment or our day/night addiction program. This step-down phase is designed to encourage clients to develop their own personal recovery program while providing a safe, structured continuum of care.

A smooth transition from a higher level of care to normal, everyday living is extremely vital to the success of individuals seeking long-term recovery. For many, long-term care at an outpatient level is a major contributor to overcoming addiction or alcoholism.

We offer a variety of options to promote growth and healing, as our goal is to assist clients in achieving long term recovery. Group sessions are diverse in topics and discussion, ensuring that each client has the opportunity to develop the skills necessary for success.

While at Amethyst Recovery Center for aftercare, clients are presented with a wide array of groups and therapies that will further assist in their early recovery:

Basics in Recovery
These therapeutic groups discuss the 4 core causes of addiction. An overview of the Mental, Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual aspects of addiction is presented. Clients gain insight into the compulsive and obsessive behaviors that take control during active addiction.
Recovery Philosophy
These groups discuss the principles of honesty, open-mindedness, and willingness to achieve long term sobriety. It teaches the basics of recovery for every individual to practice in their daily living schedule.
Addiction Education
Addiction education groups are primarily in didactic form and mainly focus on the science of addiction, dual diagnosis, opioid overdose prevention, and mental health disorders.
Relapse Prevention
These therapeutic and didactic groups teach all about ways to prevent relapse. Relapse prevention groups help increase awareness of personal early warning signs of relapse and to develop coping skills to employ when experiencing high-risk situations and/or cravings.
Anger Management
The objective of these groups is to help individuals develop a program of recovery that is free from violent behavior. Anger management techniques are taught with the intent of helping individuals decrease the frequency of occurrence of angry thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Day/night addiction treatment involves groups that focus primarily on relationships and healthy boundaries. Clients learn to identify codependent behaviors in different types of relationships.

Clients are also provided continued medical and psychiatric services in conjunction with chiropractic and massage therapy, gym memberships and monthly follow up appointments to ensure sustained well-being and support. Our case management staff is available to provide services to assist clients with legal issues, probation, FMLA, Disability, Resume Building, and locating Community Resources.

Our resources in the local community allow us to help our clients resume an independent and productive life gradually. We have numerous tools to provide clients with job placement, continuing education, life skills training, resume building, transportation, and local 12 Step meeting locations.
